There is something truly special about the bond between a mother and her daughter. Your mom has been there for you at every stage of your life. From your first breath to your first breakup, she has always been there with a soft voice and warm embrace. Your daughter has taught you some lessons that you never would have learned without her. Loving who you are because you realize that you are the example that she should love who she is. Together, you are best friends, a powerful duo, a strength for one another.
As you walk through life together, the relationship extends beyond parent-child to best friends. Someone that you can both rely on. This is why I love to photograph mothers and daughters together. Because that kind of relationship needs to be recorded. It needs to be there for future generations to discover and bring hope into their own relationships. It needs to be there for you when you can no longer walk this road together because one of you has gone on. You’ll look at her smile and still see it’s radiance. You’ll see that hug and still feel the warmth of that embrace. A portrait has the power to bring people back to the moments they’ve forgotten.
